Scott Micah Manear, 36, of Wilson Point, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, November 25th, 2012, in Naples, Florida. Scott was born July 28th, 1976 in Middle River, MD. He graduated Suma Cum Laude from the Community College of Baltimore County with his Associates Degree in Business Administration, completing the two-year program in one year, and was inducted into Kappa Beta Delta and Phi Theta Kappa (both International Honor Societies). Scott was invited to work in both the Dean's office and Delegate McDonough's campaign office. He founded the Fountain of Light Recovery House in Essex, MD, where he provided a home and counseling to men dealing with and recovering from addiction. Scott's passion for helping others affected by addiction will carry on past his death. Scott shared his love of music with many, and sang in local bands with his friends. Scott is survived by his grandparents Roger and Dora Copinger, Jr., devoted parents DeWayne and Lisa Manear of Bel Air and John and Susan White of Wilson Point, his brothers John White, Jr., Michael White, Ryan Manear, sisters Erin Orndoff and Ashley Dranbauer and his children Tyler, Noelle and Olivia. Scott is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Scott was predeceased by his eldest son Adam Michael and his loving grandparents Olive and Fountain (Ken) Manear, grandmother Florence (Penny) Miller, uncles John Copinger and Gary Manear, and cousins Adam Copinger and Eric Wilkins.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Road (at Forge Road) on Sunday from 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm prayer service at 7:30 pm Sunday, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment: Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
