Harold "Dean" Warden, 74 passed away Saturday morning, December 1, 2012, at his residence. Born July 11, 1938 in Harlington, Texas, he was a son of the late Charles Hubert and Minnie Mae Emerson Warden. Dean had retired from Skyline Mobile Homes, where he was a master service technician, and had been in this type of business for more than 35 years. Dean loved his family and enjoyed flea markets, buying and selling all types of collectibles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Warden and his three brothers as well. Family members include his wife of nearly 50 years, Ruth Warden, his daughter, Kathy Warden Boyles and companion, Perry Ballard, of Salisbury, his son, Russell Gardner Warden, also of Salisbury, a "special daughter", Connie Basinger, his sister, Marilyn Trombly of Arizonia and his granddaughter, Chasity Boyles. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Larry Beaver. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
