Mr. Hatter was retired from Obear Nester Glass Company in East St. Louis, Illinois and Consolidated Industries of Granite City, Illinois.
He was a former member of Crestview Church of the Nazarene and Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Fairview Heights, Illinois, and was a current member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville, Illinois.
Mr. Hatter was a World War II veteran, having served his country as a medical technician in the Philippines, India, China, Burma, and the Pacific Theater.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores A. Lamkin-Hatter, nee Soehnlin, step-son, Gerald W. Lamkin, great granddaughter, Samantha Paige Kimmel, parents, Melvin and Zora, nee Brown, Hatter, sisters, Frieda Beare and Lilly Baugh, brother, George Hatter, and mother-in-law, Gertrude Robinson, nee Barringer.
He is survived by his wife, Marion L. Luden-Hatter, nee Robinson, a son, Robert L. (Barbara) Hatter of Belleville, Illinois, a step-son, James C. (Jana) Luden of Caseyville, Illinois, a step-daughter Delores C. (Cletus) Duke of Belleville, Illinois, grandchildren, Daniel M. (Elizabeth) Hatter, Robert M. (Tonya) Hatter, Kelley (Jim) Rutherford, Richard (Crystal) Kimmel, and Brandon Lamkin, great grandchildren, Blake, Ellie, Laynie, and Meadow Hatter, Amanda, Jonathon, and Benjamin (Sarah) Landon, Kennedy Douglass and Zachary Rutherford, Aaron, Taylor, and Isabella Kimmel, Timothy Burton, and Brandi and Michael Lamkin, great- great grandchildren, Brooke, Kaden, and Elliot Landon, sisters Effie (Roger) Hoffman of Bradenton, Florida, and Clara (William) Hartman of Buchanan, Michigan, as well many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Isham Hatter truly possessed the heart of a servant and was a hard-working man.
Throughout his life he demonstrated his love of the Lord by blessing a countless number of family, friends or whoever might need assistance by whatever means necessary to help ease their burdens or lighten their load. He surrounded them with prayer and gave selflessly of his time and all that he had or was. His legacy lies in the hearts, memories, and lives of all he touched and the unwavering image of a man who loved God.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois with Rev. Jim Sloan officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview heights, Illinois.
