Galen graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1953. He spent most of his working years for the City of Old Town, first as a fireman and he retired from the Parks and Rec Department. Galen enjoyed times with his family, and later in life he enjoyed coffee with the “old guys” at Tim Horton’s.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Priscilla, a son Michael LaFlamme, a daughter Cheryl Baker and her husband Joe; special granddaughter Emily; a brother William LaFlamme and his wife Sharon, sister-in-law Evelyn Alix, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother James and his wife Christine Laflamme.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ritter and the entire staff at Orono Commons for their wonderful and compassionate care.
A casual remembrance and celebration of his life gathering will be held 11:30 to 1:30 Monday December 10, 2012 at the Old Town United Methodist Church, Stillwater Ave, Old Town.
