He was born October 16, 1924 in Golden Pond, KY
Cyril enlisted in the United States Navy, right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, where he served in the Pacific Fleet during WWII. Following the Navy, He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served for 24 years. In the Marines, he served in the 1st Marine Division, and was involved in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean Conflict.
He also volunteered as a docent at the Louisville Zoo for many years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Susan Rose (Corey); three grandsons, Michael and Jacob Rose and Brandon Lawrence; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Minnie Miller, Sr.; his wife, Suziko Ozaki Miller; a son, John C. Miller; two brothers, John Gordon Miller and Hugh Miller, Sr. and a sister, Mary Miller Bacon.
Private Services and burial will be conducted at a later date in Cadiz, KY.
