She had retired after over 15 years as a teller in the banking business. She was the head teller at Planters and Merchants that later became First Victoria. While her customer service was known and she was missed after she retired, her true talent was in the kitchen where she would entertain every last person that came through her doors. Those that loved her most would seek comfort at her house for her company, food she cooked, and understanding without judgment.
She is preceded in death by her parents C.L. and Elise Smith of Sour Lake and her sister Debra Borowski of Woodville.
She is survived by her husband and love Charles Hippard of College Station; daughter and son-in-law, Kenesha & Rick Waggoner of College Station; son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Christina Downs of Austin. She had three grandchildren that made her world, Brittany and Brandon Waggoner of College Station and Thomas Caden Downs of Austin.
