Born in White Station, PA, James "Jimmy" grew up in Williamsport, MD. He proudly served as a Marine and Seabee in World War II. He was employed at Sealtest Dairy in Cleveland for 27 years along with working at Shoreway Lanes and a volunteer fireman for Sheffield Lake Fire Dept. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed coaching little league baseball and woodworking. As a talented self-taught musician Jim played guitar, banjo, ukulele and dulcimer making sure he passed it down through generations. He retired from Watteredge Uniflex in Avon Lake in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his father James and mother Edna; brother William, wife Cecilia (Kay) and former wife Audrie. Survived by sisters Pasty Powell and Claudia Smith and brother Gary; son Steve (Joyce) of Sheffield Lake, daughters Robin (Joe) Bublinec of Bellefonte, Pa. and Cindi Scarpelli of Sheffield Lake. Step children Gordon, Jeff, Scott, Melissa and Linda. Other survivors include his grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
The family suggests any memorial contribution be forwarded to your choice of the American Heart Association or your local Meals on Wheels.
In the tradition of the family they would like to bid farewell by saying “Yuk-A-Puk and So Long”.
