Evelyn Mae Coburn
Born May 8, 1930 in Exeter, California to James and Mary Burke. Evelyn passed away on December 21, 2012 at the age of 82. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper before becoming a homemaker and raising her three children.
Evelyn always placed others needs before her own. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them at family events.
Evelyn was a member of the Visalia Lifestyle Center where she had many friends and enjoyed visiting during their early morning outings for coffee. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at Morro Bay. Evelyn was passionate about reading and had a large library of books. She loved the Lord and was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years in Dinuba and then in Visalia.
Evelyn is survived by her son Bobby (Deana) Coburn, daughters, Nancy Bernard and Debbie Coburn, six grandchildren, Gabriel, Samuel and Brian Bernard, Melissa (Kile) Taylor, Jillian (Sean) Taylor, Gerad (Suzy) Coburn and six great grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, and Willow Coburn, Kaia, Liam and Charlie Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth of 59 years, brothers, Vernon, Wallace and Earl and mother Mary and father James.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA.
