Winston-Salem- Mr. Charles William Fearrington, 81, died at his home on December 30, 2012 surrounded by his daughter, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Bethania Moravian Church on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial will follow in God’s Acre. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM on Thursday, January 3 at Frank Vogler & Sons Reynolda Chapel.
Mr. Fearrington was born in Forsyth County to the late Alfred Brownie and Tincy Wiles Fearrington. He was a US Navy Korean War veteran and a master mason of Old Town Lodge #751. He was married in 1954 to Bonnie Alexander and spent 43 wonderful years together until her death in 1997. After 35 years of service he retired from RJ Reynolds. He was a long time active member of Bethania Moravian Church.
He will be remembered by his family as a wise man who cared deeply about raising his family with strong moral values and willingness to work hard. His grandsons will treasure the time they spent with him whether enjoying the outdoors or eating at a neighborhood restaurant. He shared with them his sense of humor and also taught them to be caring, strong and prepared young men. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and spend time fishing at the coast.
Mr. Fearrington is survived by his daughter whom he called his Angel, Tina Hall and spouse Curtis; grandsons, Michael and Alexander Beaman all of Lewisville; sister, Dorothy Russell of Clemmons; special nephew and niece Buddy and Connie Mastin and their daughter, Beth; several wonderful friends; and a caring church family.
