He was owner and founder of Acme Printing of Morristown which he founded in 1967. Mr. DuBose was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Air Corp in the Pacific Theater of Operations and served with the Japanese Occupation Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown. He had served as Worshipful Master of Morristown Lodge767 F&AM and had made numerous trips to the Shriners Hospital transporting needy children. He was also Past President of the Sertoma Club of Morristown.
Mr. DuBose was preceded in death by his parents, Caprus Sinclair and Agnes DuBose; brothers, Carlos, Wilburn, and William; sisters, Delane, Verta Mae, and Lucy.
He is survived by he loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Harville DuBose; daughter, Karen Stokes; sons, Kevin (Jayne), and Kenny DuBose; grandchildren, Brett and Corey DuBose, Kellye and Kendall Stokes, and Kelsey DuBose; great-grandchildren, Joliegh Snyder and Rocky Stokes; sister, Opal Bennett, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 pm on Friday in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Masonic services will be conducted by Leadvale Lodge F&AM at 8:00 pm. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Danny Georges and Rev. Kenny Cole officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:45 am on Saturday morning at the Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11:00 AM committal service. Pallbearers will be Kendall Stokes, Corey DuBose, Brett DuBose, Chuck Hutchiinson, Kevin DuBose, and Ken DuBose. Military Honors will be accorded by VFW Post 5266.
