Funeral Mass: 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at St. Michaels the Archangel Catholic Church, Grand Prairie. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Chapel, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Adolph was born May 30, 1926, in Dallas. He was in the Army for 21 years, serving in World War II, the Berlin Airlft and the Vietnam War. After the military, he had a second career in commercial property management. In his retirement, he continued to give his time and energy for others, volunteering at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso and Medical Center of Arlington for a decade each, as well as spending time with his family.
Survivors: His loving wife of 59 1/2 years, Isabel; children, Mark Champion, David Champion, elizabeth champion bobo and Jeanette Bassett; spouses; eight wonderful grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, and sisters and other family members.
