Alta grew up in Denver. On March 5, 1952, she married Eddie Orlovski at the Church of the Nazarene in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Eddie died on January 28, 1999.
After their marriage, Eddie and Alta lived in Denver. They moved to Kersey in 1971. After the death of her husband, Alta lived briefly in Pueblo, later moving to Evans. She was a homemaker.
Alta was active in SSA organization. She received honorary chapter and state SSA degrees. She was in the process of supporting Linda in getting her honorary American SSA degree.
Alta enjoyed dogs and cats. She also enjoyed going to lunch with a group of her friends on Tuesdays and going on outings with her daughter, which included shopping and eating out. Her hobbies included crocheting and making blankets. She was a great cook and enjoyed helping people in need.
Alta is survived by her daughter, Linda May Orlovski-Longacre (Kelly) of Greeley; son, Michael Orlovski, Sr.; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Hall of Greeley; special friend, Don Mavis of Evans and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Orlovski, Sr., a son, Eddie Orlovski, Jr. and two brothers, Thomas and Holly Hall.
Celebration of Life 3 p.m. Friday, January 18 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in memory of Eddie and Alta Orlovski in care of Linda Orlovski-Longacre, which will be distributed as a scholarship to Greeley West SSA members.
