Warren Ernest Weathers died on January 18, 2013 at Medical City Hospital of congestive heart failure. He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on October 26, 1932. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Hutmacher, of Ft. Worth Texas and William Earnest Weathers of Roanoke, Alabama and Frederick, Oklahoma. He graduated from Lanarie High School in Ft. Worth, attended St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas on a scholastic scholarship, followed by pre-med studies at UCLA and graduation from Catholic University in Washington D.C. on May 15, 1971 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. He was drafted and served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was then employed by Parkland Hospital for ten years of loyal service and eleven years loyal service at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas doing social work. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William Paul Weathers and Terry Costa Weathers of Dallas, and his sister Gloria Wharton of Plano, Texas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and all of their families. We will all miss his warm smile, his loving interest in his whole family and his wide knowledge and wise views of the world. He loved beauty and he was beautiful. Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral home on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2:00-2:45 p.m., followed by graveside services at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
