Funeral service for Smith Patrick "Pat" Baggett, 86, of Decatur will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the funeral service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Baggett, who died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann Veterans Home, was born September 18, 1926, in Nashville, Tenn., to Margaret Mamie and William Marvin Baggett. He was the co-owner and operator of Decatur Glass and Paint for 35 years. He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Baggett was an Army veteran and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Baggett; one brother, Preston Baggett; and two sisters, Maxine Morrison and Nell Durham.
He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Moats (Larry) and son, Randy Baggett (Suzy); four grandsons, Gil (Diane) Moats, Neil Moats, Bill Baggett (Helen) and Patrick Baggett (Amy); one granddaughter, Sabrina L. Terry (Donny); and two great-grand-daughters, Emma Coraline Moats and Addie Ruth Baggett.
Pallbearers will be Neil Moats, Bill Baggett, Patrick Baggett, Terry Glover, David Bittle and Brad Baggett
