He was born December 4, 1928, in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late William and Edna (Hill) Hausch. Norm was a proud veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He retired from the Kent State University Printing Department and later worked at ACME. Norm was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church.
Norm was devoted to his family. He loved to dance with his wife, Margie. They were members of the Cuyahoga Valley Cloggers and 37 year members of the Western Whirlers Square Dance Club in Tallmadge. He also enjoyed camping, photography, and woodworking, pretty much anything that allowed him to work with his hands.
Norm is survived by his children: Cindy (Jim) Collins of Ravenna and Dan Hausch of Franklin Twp.; grandchildren: Chris (Becky) Collins, Jason Collins, Greg (fiancé Stephanie) Collins, Michael Hausch, Ryan Hausch; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Toryn, Nathan, Blake, and Mackenzie; sisters: Irene (John) Machisko and Carol (Jerry) Joiner; sister-in-law: Donna McMann; his former daughter-in-law: Penny Hausch; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Norm was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margie Hausch on August 15, 2011. He was also preceded by his father William Hausch, mother Edna Ridenour, step-father Robert Ridenour, and brother-in-law Richard McMann.
Friends will be received Friday, February 1, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Barry C. French on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna with military honors.
