She has resided in Manchester for over 62 years. Her husband of 52 years, Patrick L. Marino died in February 1989. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Dorson-Fleisher Shoe Company and later by Evangeline Shoe. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish and St Anthony parish.
She was a strong, vibrant woman who was known as “Amazing Grace” by her family. She was a very social person who enjoyed bowling, her walking group and weekly gatherings for cards. For Grace, her family was most important in her life. She is cherished as the ultimate mother and grandmother by her family who recall her love of cooking Italian meals for family gatherings.
Family members include two daughters, Elizabeth Quinn and her husband David of Manchester and Jacqueline Bettencourt and her husband Francis of Bedford; five grandchildren, Kathleen Ratcliff of New York, Jennifer Ell of Bedford, John Demeritt of Bedford, Kristen Bettencourt of Boston MA and Michael Bettencourt of Winchester, MA; six great grandchildren, Patrick Ell, Christopher Ell, Sean Demeritt, Kyle Demeritt, Grace Bettencourt and Violet Bettencourt; a brother John Tancredi and his wife Nancy of Ormond Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were Monday, February 4th from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech St. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers donations in Grace’s name may be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Floor C-4 Activities, 400 Mast Road, Goffstown NH 03045.
