Mallory B. Moore, 92, entered the Gates of Heaven to be with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on February 7th, 2013. He was born May 18, 1920, in Youngsport, Texas to Nathanial William Moore and Lille Davenport Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife Amy Gillette Moore, brothers Buster and Elmer, and sisters Ruby Mae and Verbalee. Mallory is survived by his daughter Terry, step-daughter JoAnn, his son Michael & wife Stephanie, brother Leonard Moore and wife Rita, four grandchildren Cheri and husband Roman, Jessica, Amiee and husband Richard, Mallory and wife Caroline; five great grandchildren, Isabella, Wayne, Andrianna, Terri Ann, Tyler. Mallory is also survived by his devoted companion Mary Jo Keel, and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by many others whose lives he also touched.
Mallory was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls and the Senior Activity Center where he enjoyed playing dominos and bingo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion and Kingsland Post No. 437.
After retirement in the 1960’s as an auto mechanic for a large auto dealership in San Antonio he moved to his home in Granite Shoals. He and his wife enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling in the travel trailer that they had.
A visitation was held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday February 11, 2013, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Brother Max Copeland and Brother Ross Chandler officiating. Military honors and interment followed at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
