Clarence “June” Dickson, 84, formerly of Lancaster, Kentucky went to be home with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the PTNH with his family by his side. Mr. Dickson was born in Washington, Kentucky on January 4, 1929 the son of the late Clarence A. and Jessie J. Gallagher Dickson. He was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the US Army. Mr. Dickson began his career with Browning Manufacturing and then went on to IBM in Lexington where he retired in January 1987. He was a dear Uncle “Bub” to Patricia D. Sapp (Garlan) of Tollesboro, Kentucky and also leaves a nephew, G. “Sonny” Cunningham (Mary) and Brenda VanAtwerp (Mark) both of Florida, a great nephew, Scott Thomas (Patty) of Owensville, Kentucky, a special friend, Glorice, former caregivers, Greg and Tina Lamie and a host of other family members. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two dear sisters, Thelma D. Weaver and Bettie J. Cunningham. Funeral services for Clarence Dickson will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2013 with Rev. J. R. Hedges officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Thomas, Bruce Thoroughman, Greg Lamie, James Lamie, Eddie Thoroughman and Morris Scott. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
