SULLIVAN, Carol A, age, 73, passed away on February 14, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 9, 1940. She moved to Tampa in 1967, where she met and married the love of her life, her husband, Ronald, on August 30,1969. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph Dehler and Mae Dehler, her brother, Kevin Dehler, and her sister, Joan Mullen. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald; her children, Cynthia Sullivan Oster (Michael), Ronald Sullivan Jr., and Laura Rice (Johnny); her grandson, Johnny Jr.; and, her brother, Gilbert Dehler. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were close to her heart.
Her greatest meaning in life came from being a wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandson was the apple of her eye. The love she shared for her family was immeasurable. She had a spirited personality and a witty sense of humor. She possessed many creative talents to include drawing, designing and making clothing, writing a fictional novel set in the Civil War era and growing roses.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Wells Memorial and Event Center in Plant City with a funeral mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Mary Help of Christians Church in Tampa. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital for the exceptional care they provided prior to her passing.
