Born December 19, 1927 in Morristown, NJ, to the late Jules and Lucy (Burnett) Grosjean Sr., passed away February 18, 2013 at the age of 85. After graduating high school, Jules served in the US Navy on the tanker USS Honory for 4 years, then served as a Marine Reservist for 4 years. He was employed as an electrician for Morris County Park Commission in New Jersey, and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of the local Lions and Rotary Club for several years. Jules passion was as a volunteer fireman with the Brookside, NJ Fire Department, where he served as chief for 4 years. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Yrsa Joan Grosjean of Howell; children, Jules III and his wife Heather of S. Carolina, April Geil and her husband, Norman of Pennsylvania, Paul and his wife Tammy of Arizona; step-children, Jackie (Tom) Kniivila, Tim (Cher) DeLang of Michigan, Roland and Douglas Anspach of Arizona; sisters, Barabra Lyman of New Jersey and Marie Pelligrino of Nevada; as well as many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. According to Jules wishes the family will have a private memorial. For those desiring, contributions may be made to local fire departments in memory of Jules.
