It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tess, who went peacefully to the Lord on Feburary 14th 2013, in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by her beloved family.A longtime resident of Brampton, Tess will be lovingly remembered for her active role in the city’s musical theatre community, as well as her involvement and dedication to the church and choir at St John Fisher Parish.Tess is survived by her sisters Nancy and Bunny, and her children Mike (Sandi), Kathy (Dave Stirling), Tim (Alanna), Tom, and KC (Carol). Her memory will be deeply cherished by her twelve grandchildren and by her twelve (and a half) great-grandchildren, as well as countless others members of her close extended family. She was predeceased by her daughter Paddy; her husband Peter; and her siblings Dorothy, Mary, Joan, Monica, Chuck, and Mike.The family would like to say a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Unit 53 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary.A visitation will be held at Andrews Community Funeral Centre (8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, (905) 456-8190) on Thursday February 21st from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held in St. John Fisher Parish on Friday February 22nd at 10am. A celebration of Tess' life will take place at the Brampton Irish Centre immediately following the service. A private burial will be held for immediate family at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Canadian Cancer Society. A tree will be planted in Tess' memory at Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary.
