Iola DeSanto, 93, passed away in Tamarac, Florida on February 27, 2013 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward.
She was born in raised in Scranton, PA and relocated to the Fort Lauderdale are in 1978. She was a retired Broward County Health nurse. She also had careers in teaching and librarianship. She received her Masters degree at Marywood College in Scranton, PA. She had been employed at Dunmore High School and the VA Hospital before moving to Florida. She was listed in Who's Who of American Women. She was an avid bridge player, cook and loving mother. She is survived by her son, Edward, her daughter Gerarda and several nieces and nephews.
