Nola Wilkinson, 93, of Norman, passed away Thursday, March 1 in Norman. She was born December 3, 1919, to Leslie Hugh and Anna Blanche Campbell in Alva, Oklahoma. Nola was a graduate of Alva High School. She lived in Alva, Wichita, KS, Enid, OK, Norfolk, VA and Naples, Italy prior moving to Norman in 1955.
She married Earl Boyce on May 28, 1937 in Alva and later married Lester A. Wilkinson on August 13, 1946 in Virginia.
She was a member of the Community of Christ Church; Past Matron Order of Eastern Star, Norman Chapter 41; Norman Court #3 of the Order of Amaranth; Past Regent of Women of the Moose, Norman Chapter 208; American Legion Auxiliary. Nola was a ten-year employee of TG& Y Stores. During World War II, she was a “Rosie the Riveter” at the Boeing Plant.
Nola is survived by her son, Lester Paul Wilkinson and wife, Luella of Tulsa; daughters, Barbara Ann Vaughn Mullican of Norman, Brenda Jean Butts and husband, Wes of Norman, Dorothy Joan Smith and husband, John of Norman, Charlotte Marie Norris and husband, Phil of Norman; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester A. Wilkinson in 1996; her parents, Leslie and Anna Campbell; brothers and sisters, Rex Campbell, Ralph Campbell, Dennis Campbell, Clyde Campbell, William Campbell, Leslie Campbell, Jr, Robert Campbell, Howard Campbell, Nina Mae Omey and Anna Belle States.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 4 at the Primrose Chapel with burial following at Norman IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Primrose Funeral Service.
