She was a loving mother, dedicated wife, and proud grandmother. Janice enjoyed the privilege of serving in many different elected and volunteer offices at both the national and state level in the Daughters of the American Revolution while living in California. Upon moving to Arkansas, she was actively involved in the local Enoch Ashley Chapter of the DAR. She was heavily involved in charity work with The First Presbyterian Church of Rogers, providing cards and notes of encouragement for shut-ins. After a long bout battling many different ailments, she had been confined to her bed and motorized chair for the last four years.
She is survived by her husband William; daughter Ali, son Victor, son-in-law Mitch Lemas and grandson Lucas.
Services will be held at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, AR on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:00 am.
A gathering with light refreshments will be held at the Scales home following the service.
