Born in Tonbridge, England, Mr. Honey attended Seven Oaks School in Kent and London University. He then followed his passion for world travel. He lived in South Africa, Switzerland, Colorado, Canada, Texas, South Florida and Stamford CT before retiring in Stuart 8 years ago.
Mr. Honey was an executive sales director for hospital automation laboratory systems working for Bayer Diagnostics and Coulter Electronics. He introduced automated laboratory systems to the world Healthcare industry, selling systems as far away as Barcelona and as locally as Martin Memorial Health Systems. Mr. Honey was a former member of the South Florida Squash Association, as well as an avid rugby player. He played club team Rugby in England and South Africa. He was also a member of the Martin County Golf Club, a mason and a private pilot. He enjoyed great food, long conversations, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail of Stuart, Florida; daughter, Sacha Z. Honey of Parker, Colorado; daughter, Galia Z. Heidemann (Bret) of Parker, Colorado; daughter, Tania L. Hilton-Green (Kelly) of Stuart, FL; Kate M. Lookabill (Jay) of Cologne, Germany; brother, Malcolm Honey of Kent, England; and grandchildren, Conor, Braeden, Kenton, Grant, Trent, Jamison, Phillipa, Merrill and a new grandson arriving in April.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Wendy Olive Fisher.
