Charles A. Heavrin, 90 of Memphis passed away March 7, 2013. Charles was born on April 13, 1922 in Morganfield, KY to Charles A. and Minnie S. Heavrin. In 1941 he enlisted in the U.S. air force and served with the 42nd Fighter Squadron in Kodiak Island, AK. He graduated from Perdue University in Lafayette, IN with a degree in Forestry. Charles retired from Timberland Management for Anderson Tully Company of Memphis where he served as Vice President. He was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bartlett, where he served as director of R.C.I.A. He was also the Arthur of several books including, “History of Anderson Tully Company” and “The Axe and Man, a Study of Civilization.” Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Joe Ann Heavrin and brothers, Keith, Russ and Bob Heavrin. He leaves his daughter, Mary Ann Finch of Newark, DE; son, Donald Finch (Jonnie) of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Finch of Dubai, Eva Anne Hall (Dan) of Atlanta, GA, Hannah Hall and Kyle Hall of Atlanta, GA and sister Mary Jean Antal of Youngstown, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 11 at 11 am at St. Ann Catholic Church Bartlett on Stage Road. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church Bartlett, 6529 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134.
