Charles passed away on March 7, 2013 in the loving arms of his family. Born April 27, 1929 in Gleason, TN, the son of the late David and Lyndol Bouldin. He married the love of his life, Helen Maddox Bouldin, who survives him, on July 26, 1952 at the end of his military service. He served his country proudly in the Korean conflict. He, like all the others who serve, signed a blank check made payable to the “United States of America” for an amount of “up to” and including his life. He served proudly. He retired after 35 years of service with Conrail Railroad and maintained lifetime friendships with many of his co-workers. He was an avid gardener who loved being in the garden and sharing nature’s bounty with everyone. Jack and Helen were blessed with a loving family. They have two sons, David Bouldin and Paul (Sue) Bouldin; his loving grandchildren, Sarah, Jack, Nicholas, Rebecca, Brian and Blair; great-grandchildren, Will, Ella, Clay, Julian, Lucas, Aemon and Riley. Also surviving to cherish his memory is his sister, Bettye Patrick; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margie; brothers, Bill, Doug and Bobbie. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 12th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their thanks to the gracious staff on the 2nd floor of the Breslin Cancer Center at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital.
