Elaine Millman, 87, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2013 after a short illness. A resident of River Vale, NJ for over 55 years, she was a beloved elementary school teacher for over 20 years. Elaine graduated from Western College, Class of ’47, and later went on to receive her master’s degree in Children’s Theater from the University of Denver. She was extremely active in Community Theater and was a Life Member of the Bergen County Players, starring in a number of their productions including “Blithe Spirit” and “Arsenic and Old Lace”. All who met Elaine will forever remember her flamboyant personality and thirst for life’s great adventures. Elaine is pre-deceased by her son, David, and survived by her husband of 61 years, Herman, two sons, Kenneth of Israel, and Richard of Harrington Park, and five adoring grandchildren, Brittany, Courtney, Jennifer, Odelia, and Gideon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Sunday, March 24th at Gutterman and Musicant. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Elaine’s honor to the Bergen County Players.
