Natalie Agredano was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Natalie will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Juana H. Rivera and Trinidad Rivera.
Natalie was raised with seven siblings. She had four brothers, Alex, Barney, Peter and Basilio and two sisters, Mary and Isabel. Natalie was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
Empathic and loyal, Natalie was committed to making her new family happy.
Natalie worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Natalie was blessed with two sons, Julian F. Agredano (deceased) and Frank E. Agredano. Another blessing for Natalie was the gift of five grandchildren, Nicole, Julian, Adrianna, Frank and Vanessa.
Fortunately, Natalie enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Natalie worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was employed for 43 years between Swifton Co. And Zacky Farms. Natalie always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Natalie enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were embroidery. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Natalie found pleasure in sports. Natalie was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. Tops on her list were baseball, she loved MLB and the LA Dodgers.
Throughout her life, Natalie was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. Throughout her later years, Natalie was an active member of the union at work.
Natalie was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. So it is little wonder that she took an active role in her community, serving on committees for the Calwa Park Community Center, Elder Activities. Politically, Natalie was with her union at work.
Natalie’s faith was important to her. She was a member of St. Helen's Church for 30+ years.
Though she never set out to gain individual recognition, Natalie was given accolades for her many and varied accomplishments throughout her life. Some of her most prestigious awards included Outstanding Years of Service at Zacky Farms - 43 years.
Natalie enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Guadalajara, Mexico, trips to visit family yearly from the 1960's through the 1980's.
Natalie was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Cokey, an American Pit Bull Terrier who was a member of the family from birth. They were best friends for 10-11 years. Her family was rounded out by her cat Pintita (in Spanish) loving companion of 14+ years.
Her new life involved relocating to Fresno, CA with family and grandchildren. In retirement, she found new pleasure in active still in union affairs, Calwa Park Community Center Elder Activities and attending weekly Mass. Even in retirement, Natalie continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Natalie was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her.
Natalie passed away on March 19, 2013 at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA. She lived a long life and spent later years battling advanced osteo-arthritis. She is survived by brother Barney Rivera, son Frank and grandchildren Nicole, Julian, Adrianna, Frank and Vanessa. Services were held at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic Church. Natalie was laid to rest in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Simply stated, Natalie was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Natalie leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Natalie Agredano.
