He was a Christian. He was one of the first male Registered Nurses to practice in the state of Arkansas and a graduate of Westark College. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, music, and reading.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael Lee Berna’, one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Roberta Berna’ of the home, two daughters: Kimberly Wilcox and her husband David of Fort Smith, and Beverly Williams and her husband Phillip of Fort Smith, four grandchildren, Jason Winters, Bobbi Shelby, Autumn Kennedy, and Joseph Aaron Williams, as well as four great grand children Zackery, JC, Amanda, and Michael Lee.
No services will be held at the family’s request. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.

Family would like to thank River Valley Health and Rehab and Peachtree hospice employees for the wonderful care they gave to Lee in his final days.
