Rosalyn Ann Hansen passed away March 22, 2013 in Valencia, California after a nearly seven year valiant battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born January 26, 1950 in Madison, Wisconsin to William Clarence Struck and Ferne Dorothy Niebuhr. She was a graduate of Novato High School, Novato, California, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Brigham Young University and additional study at the University of Grenoble, France.
Rosalyn was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Hans Edwin Hansen for time and eternity on August 10, 1973, at the Oakland LDS Temple in Oakland, California. Together they had three children: Heather, Peter, and Kristel Hansen. Hans and Roz moved to Valencia in 1985 to raise their children in the Santa Clarita Valley.
She is predeceased by her parents and infant sister, Charisse Marie Struck. She is survived by her husband, Hans Hansen of Valencia, and her children, Heather Liis Hansen, Lehi, Utah; Peter Christian Hansen, Valencia; and Kristel Marie Hansen, Lehi, Utah; her brother William T. Struck (Gail), Houston, Texas; and her beloved aunt, LaVerne Wesenberg, Incline Village, Nevada.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 24443 McBean Parkway, Valencia. A viewing at the church will be at 10:00am preceding the service. Interment at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall, California.
