Herman John Heffnieder, of Mesa, AZ, passed away March 23, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born January 30, 1935 in Denver, CO to Herman and Florence Heffnieder. Herman had many different jobs throughout his life including working with Sears sewing machines, owning and operating his own Kirby business, and finally retiring from K-Mart in July of 1995, he had always given 150% in all he did. Herman served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed being around people and making everyone happy; He would attend lots of parties and lunches with the neighbors, he also enjoyed camping, fishing, RV travel and cruises, he was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Leisure World Bowling League and the Leisure World Poker Club. Herman was married to the love of his life on January 29, 1975, had renewed their vows on December 29, 2012 and together they just celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest daughter Sylvia Beck and is survived by his loving wife Margie; his oldest daughter: Sherry Cable of Joplin, MO; granddaughter Echo Mills and her two sons Gavin and Bodie and granddaughter Kayla Salitrero and her son Jayden of Reno, NV as well as his sister Madeline Avey of Joplin, MO. A service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, March 28 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa, with the interment to take place in Colorado.
