Butch was a graduate of Assumption High School in East St. Louis, Ill. He served four years in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. When he returned home, he was employed by the N & W Railroad in Brooklyn, Ill., then in New Orleans, La. He was an agent for American General Insurance Company before he retired.
Butch loved to play pool; he was known as, "Mr. 8 Ball." He played in the APA and St. Clair County 358 Bank League. He won several championships and received many beautiful trophies. When he wasn't playing pool, he loved going to the Casino Queen with his mother for dinner. He loved playing craps and other table games. He also enjoyed going out to dinner and listening to music. Butch always looked forward to spending the holidays with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Geragosian; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Surviving are his mother, Elvira, nee Chaurro, Geragosian, of O'Fallon, Ill.; two brothers, Dennis Geragosian, of Belleville, Ill., and Ken Geragosian, of O'Fallon, Ill,; two sisters, Barbara (Ed) Burns and Cindy Geragosian, both of O'Fallon, Ill.; four nephews, Ltc. Rob (Marcela ) Geragosian Steffel, of El Paso, Texas, Darin Geragosian, Christopher Burns, and Michael Burns; two great-nephews, Chase and Noah Steffel; and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill., with Monsignor William Hitpas officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
