A native of Rockledge, Desiree - known as Des or Dee Dee to family and friends - attended Rockledge High School and later Brevard Community College.
Desiree was a black belt in karate and loved to be surrounded by her cats. She was a bartender/waitress at several spots before becoming a technician at United Space Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rene Perdomo; brother, Darell; and stepfather, Preston Thigpin.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Shirley Thigpin; brothers, Douglas R. Perdomo and Ginny Williams; stepbrother, Gary and Terry Thigpin; stepsisters, Elaine, Yvonne and Yvette; nephews, Douglas C. Perdomo and Dustin Richardson; longtime family friend, Ina Hooper; longtime boyfriend, Steve R. Alsina; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 10th, at Faith Viera Lutheran Church with services there beginning at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of HealthFirst.
