Billy W. Cunningham, 68, of Victoria, passed away April 5, 2013. He was born June 25, 1944, in DeKalb, Texas to the late Billie Crew and Joyce Smith Cunningham. Bill was in sales with Nueces Power and Equipment for the past 17 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Bill also served as the past president of the Port Lavaca Rotary Club and past director of the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Fortuna Bay HOA of Corpus Christi, TX and was currently serving as the treasurer of the Board.
Bill lived his life to the fullest always enjoying his family and friends. He was a great sportsman at heart and always enjoyed fishing, hunting and car races with his sons and friends. Bill lived his life as a Christian; always there to help whomever needed help. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Wiggins Cunningham, sons, Bennie W. Cunningham and wife, Diane of Tulsa, OK., Billy Don Cunningham and wife, Nikki of Ft. Mead, Maryland; brother, Bruce Cunningham and wife, Debbie of Pasadena, brother-in-law James Wiggins and wife, Jeannine; niece Jennifer Gonzales of Pasadena; nephews Paul Wiggins and Jody Wiggins both of Snook, TX., and Darren Wiggins of Center, TX. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Rachelle, Joseph and Brandon and 5 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Hunter, Kendall, Lane and Anna to cherish his memory.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Barry Cunningham.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 5-7 PM, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
A funeral service will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 2 PM, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. R.J. Wooten officiating.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 2 PM, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Center, Texas.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4401 Lilac, Victoria, Texas, 77901.
