Raymond G. Coon, 70, of Homosassa, passed away on Sat., April 6, 2013 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River. A native of Detroit, MI., he was born March 2, 1943 to Ernest and Marian (Tobey) Coon, one of two children. Mr. Coon was a retired police officer for the City of Detroit with 25 years of service to the motorcycle division. He moved here in 1999 from Wixom, MI. Upon his retirement, he remained quite active in many things, including operating sales booths out of Stokes and Howard flea markets specializing in military flags and badges, driving cars for Enterprise Car Rental and serving as a golf ranger at Citrus Hills. Raymond was a gifted woodworker, even making golf clubs. He loved playing golf and loved his motorcycles. Mr. Coon is survived by his wife of over 28 years, Susan K. Coon, Homosassa; his five children; Dean Coon, Cape Coral, FL; Sean Coon, Hamilton, OH; Jerry Engel, Hartland, MI; Jennifer Lansing, Tucker, GA and Jeffery Engel, Tampa; brother Dennis Coon, Harrison, MI; grandchildren Deanna and Leanna Coon, Ft.
