Marianna (Bombrych) Hann; age 83, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home Friday, April 5th, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Wieslaw Matthew Hann, three children and grandson: Robert Maciej Hann, his wife Violet and their son Jakub of Schenectady, NY; Christopher Arthur Hann, his wife Bernadette and soon to be born daughter of Chicago, IL; and, Renata Stela Hann Ellison and her husband Bill of Chicago, IL.
Marianna was born in Sochaczew, Poland on December 28, 1929 the youngest daughter of Jozef and Stefania (Kossowska) Bombrych. She met her future husband in Warsaw while attending the Academy of Fine Arts. They were married in June of 1957. In 1965, the Hann family emigrated to the United States to seek refuge from the Communist regime occupying Poland and settled in Ann Arbor.
The Hann family would also like to thank Marianna’s caregiver Dawn and the nurses of Great Lake Caring Hospice for their loving care.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 Fourth Ave, Ann Arbor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 12 at 10a.m. (preceded by a brief viewing at 9a.m.) at St. Mary Student Parish, 331 Thompson Street, Ann Arbor, with Rev Daniel T. Reim officiating. Burial will follow at ArborCrest Memorial Park, 2521 Glazier Way, Ann Arbor.
