Virginia M. Schulz, age 90, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013. She was born in Tippecanoe, OH on February 2, 1923 to Samuel and Ruth (Lee) McConnell. Virginia graduated from Urichsville High School and worked at Berger’s in Louisville and for the Timken Company. After she married Robert, they bought a farm in Marlboro Township and in her later years she moved to Canton. Virginia was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville, Eagles Auxiliary #2374 in Louisville, and the Polish American Citizens Club. She loved her cat, Jingles, playing polkas, attending the dances on Wednesdays, and watching her favorite TV show, Friday Night Wrestling with John Cena.
She is Preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Schulz; son-in-law, Raymond E. Taylor of Alliance; sister, Margery Norris of Jewett; and brother, Fred McConnell of Urichsville. Virginia is survived by three daughters; Judy Schulz of Alliance, Janine Schulz of Canton (with whom she lived with), and Jill Biedenbach and Chuck Fisher of Canton; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and special friends, George and Jeannie Frollini from the dance.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to the service. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Warstler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Wishes Can Happen.
