Hazel Margaret Loveall Skolnik, 83, died peacefully in her sleep on April 17, 2013 at Buena Vida Continuous Care Estates.
Born November 12, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was predeceased by her parents, William and Dena (Horr) Loveall; and her sons, Stephen Skolnik and Jon Skolnik.
Hazel was the much loved wife of John Andrew Skolnik for 62 years. Hazel and John moved to Florida in 1955. Hazel was a homemaker until her children were grown. She did volunteer work for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Hazel then worked for Belk at the Melbourne Square Mall for ten years. Hazel loved the Florida sunshine and the beach and shared her love of nature with her children.
Survivors include husband, John Andrew Skolnik; brother, William Loveall; sister, Leona Loveall Ostrosky; surviving children, Janice (Gary) Kendall, Linda (Joseph) Zuccari, Sharon (Carl) D'Alessandro, Jeffrey (Sharon) Skolnik, and Erik (Kristin) Skolnik; grandchildren, Brian (Brandi) Kendall, Lisa Carole (Jon) Hansen, Gary David Kendall Jr., Rebecca Johnson (Michael), Lisa Jeanneane Kendall, Gabrielle Zuccari, Joseph Zuccari III, Rachel (James) Skolnik Watts, Allison Moye, Jennifer Guthrie, Stephen Skolnik, Joseph Veltri, Dominic D'Alessandro, Zoe D'Alessandro, Kolby Skolnik, Kylee Skolnik, Ella Skolnik, Shawn Skolnik; great-grandchild-ren, Christian Kendall, Nicholas Kendall, Carolyn Marie Marsh and Meagan Jeanneane Marsh, Ian Hansen; and great-great grandson, Noah Marsh.
Hazel's funeral Mass celebration will be Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1710 Hickory Street, Melbourne, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buena Vida Foundation, 2129 West New Haven Avenue, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
Florida Memorial Gardens of Rockledge are handling the funeral arrangements.
