Age 84 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Kingston of Miamisburg. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Simpson; grandchildren, CDR Richard Simpson (Lori), JJ (Nick) Hoffman; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl G. and Edward Likovetz; niece, Mary (Wayne) Morris and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 25 years, Faye M. (McGinnis) Likovetz; parents, John Joseph and Mary V. (Arti) Likovetz; grandson, Jeff Simpson; brother, Ernie Likovetz; nephew, Michael Likovetz; son-in-law, Richard Simpson; and sisters-in-law, Leota and Jenny Likovetz. John graduated from Roosevelt High School Class of 1946 and is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He worked at NCR for 20 years and Dayton Power & Light as a steam engineer until his retirement. John volunteered at Kingston of Miamisburg for over 22 years and has been a long time member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 am-9:30 am on Saturday, April 27 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg, followed by prayers at 9:30 am, also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 6 South Third St., Miamisburg at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 27. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.
