EDWARD WEBBER, 93, of Stoughton, formerly of Sunrise, FL and Braintree, MA, entered into rest April 24, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Mildred (Brown) Webber, with whom he celebrated his 70th wedding anniversary last year.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 7, 1919, Mr. Webber worked for many years as the owner of a taxi cab company. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and was a proud US Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict. By the time he was discharged from the Army National Guard in 1953 he had achieved the rank of Master Sergeant.
He was the devoted father of Susan Casassa & her husband Robert of Taunton and Alan Webber & his wife Lenore of Newton. Loving brother of the late Irving Webber. Cherished grandfather of Jamie Theall & her husband Spencer of Easton, Darren Mangott & his wife Lynn of Taunton and Benjamin Webber of Newton. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren: Cameron, Sarah, Makenna and Alex.
A funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA. Interment will be private.
