Harrison “Harry” Lecester Rulapaugh, Jr. 65, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am the morning of the service.
Mr. Rulapaugh was born in Los Angeles, California the son of the late Dorothy Smithline Rulapaugh and Harrison Rulapaugh, Sr. He was the widower of Joan Adkins Rulapaugh. Mr. Rulapaugh went to high school in California and then was on the Dean’s list at Crandall Junior College. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served from 1964 until 1969 as a United States Navy SEAL and a Vietnam veteran of 3 tours. Mr. Rulapaugh was retired from the Macon Telegraph and currently employed with H & R Block.
Mr. Rulapaugh is survived by his daughters, Carrie (Daniel) Rulapaugh Avery, and Amanda (Mark) Michelle Rulapaugh both of Macon; grandchildren, Katie Sellers, and Sarah Avery both of Macon; sisters, Dorothy Beggs and Marian Lawrence; brother, John Hoy; loving dog, Sunni; various nieces and nephews.
