Born in Canada, he was the son of the late George and Angeline (Lapierre) Sirois.
Mr. Sirois worked as a foreman for Morrison Knudsen Equipment for 25 years, retiring in 1979 and worked overseas from 1952- 1979.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 73 in New Bedford and enjoyed many years of world travel.
Survivors include his siblings, Claudette Perry and her husband John of Marion, Rita Raposa and George H. Sirois and his wife Viola all of Fairhaven; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jacqueline Wyse, Guy Maurice, Germaine Buelterman, Eva, Theresa and Rachelle Sirois.
His funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 9:30am in Our Lady’s Haven Chapel, 71 Center St., Fairhaven. Visiting hours Sunday from 4-6pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Burial in River-Side Cemetery. Family Service Association was providing care through it’s’ guardianship program. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Family Service Association, 101 Rock St., Fall River, MA 02720.
