Sammy Eaton, Sr., 69, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at his home. He was born May 4, 1944, to Sam J. and Oletta Lancaster Eaton. He was a truck driver, and a member of Thrasher Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising horses and dogs.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Doug Rakestraw and Bro. Dale Ross officiating. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Crabb Eaton; three daughters, Julie (Marlon) Bingham of Booneville, Keri (Frank) Dillworth and Cortney Eaton, both of Rienzi; two sons, Eddie Storey of Tupelo and Sammy Eaton, Jr. of Rienzi; one sister, Deborah Eller of Niceville, FL; one brother, Darvis Eaton of Jumpertown; two sisters –in-law, Gloria Berry and Wanda Alford; 10 grandchildren, Robin Storey, Josh Storey, Caitlen Eaton, Lexie Eaton, Justin Coats, Bryson Coats, Colt Bingham, Catlin Bingham and Whitley Bingham; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robby Storey; his parents; his grandparents, Dewey and Mary Eaton and Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Lancaster; and his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Crabb.
Pallbearers are Marlon Bingham, Frank Dillworth, Mark Long, Ryan Lovvern, Clay Phillips and Tyler Phillips.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
