Billy G. Garvin, 80 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away May 4, 2013 in Del City, Oklahoma. Born July 26, 1932 in Katy, Oklahoma, he was the son of Bernard Garvin and Pauline Herron Garvin. Billy was a supervisor in the cutting department of a ballcap manufacturer. An Air Force veteran he served during the Korean Conflict. He loved woodworking and his family was very important to him and they came first always. Billy enjoyed gardening especially growing vegetables and loved cooking and eating food of all kinds. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, Harold Wayne Garvin. Survivors include his wife Louise of the home; 2 sons, Bill G. Garvin, Jr. of Arkansas; David Garvin of Prague, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Vicki and her husband Randy Steward of Newalla, Oklahoma; Sandy and her husband Robert O'Reilly of Guthrie, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Destiny Christian Center in Choctaw, Oklahoma with Reverend Dick Temple officiating. Burial will follow Military Honors by the U. S. Air Force Honors Detail in Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, Oklahoma.
