Elizabeth “Betty” Carr Williams, of North Little Rock, AR, formerly of Palm Bay, Florida died on May 14th, 2013. She was born in Germania, Iowa, in 1916 to Hugh M and Pearl E Sutton Carr and grew up in Ellendale, MN. In 1937 she began 60 years of marriage to Neil Kenneth “Ken” Williams. In 1945 they moved back to Ken’s home state of Florida, where they established Wilbro Dairy. After 45 years of dairying they expanded into diverse agricultural activities.
Besides raising 6 children, Betty helped milk cows, kept books and dairying records, and at times drove the milk truck to deliver milk to homes and businesses. Later she became interested in genealogy and discovered that she and Ken were ninth cousins, traced back to the early settling of Nantucket Island. She was a member of the Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the DAR and the Indian River Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son Paul D Williams, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
