Alice’s family was her life. She and her husband Bill raised 8 children. Somewhere in the midst of raising kids, she found time to work in retail sales and The Butcher Block through the years.
Cooking was one thing she loved to do and was very good at it! The family loved getting together for special dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas with lots of food and fellowship with each other. Family reunions were always special to her too. In her “spare time”, she also loved to read.
Alice is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws Eddie and Ann Putz; Billy and Brenda Putz; Tommy and Theresa Putz; and Gary and Cindy Putz; daughters and son-in-laws Alice VanWinkle; Mary and Kenneth Melesky; and Donna Gaston and friend Dennis Frieda. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Alices is also survived by a sister Felicia Frazier and her husband Ernie of Colorado; sister-in-laws Frauline Sims and Sylvia Willingham of College Station; and a son-in-law John Hill of Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are grandsons: Alan VanWinkle, Trip Putz, Joshua Putz, Justin Putz, Kenny Melesky, Tommy Putz Jr, Howard Putz, Shawn Gaston, Steven Gaston, Scott Gaston, and Jacob Putz.
Memorials may be made in her memory to Hospice Brazos Valley.
A very special thank you to Hospice and especially Janet and Lilly; and her present caregivers Cinda, Laretta, Chris, and Rebecca; as well as those that took great care of her over the past 2 years.
