He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Edward and Cecile Deutschman. Harold was a resident of Plainfield, NJ for over 46 years before moving to Toms River in 1997. He was a food broker with E.P. Deutschman in New York for over 60 years. Harold was a US Army Veteran of World War II and served in the occupation of Japan. He was a graduate of Long Island University. Harold enjoyed playing golf, billiards, and card games with his neighbors.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara Deutschman; 2 children and their spouses, Susan A. McManus and her husband William and Andrew J. Deutschman and his wife Susan; a sister, Betty Sakol; and 3 grandchildren, Kyle McManus, Keith McManus, and Steven Deutschman.
His funeral services will be private, and in accordance with his family’s wishes, there will be no observation of the traditional mourning period.
