She was born June 27, 1964 in South Bend, Indiana to James and Antoinette (Paulbecki) Block. On May 10, 1986 she married her high school sweetheart, John Kavanagh in Roselle.
Sandi was a devoted wife and mother. Her faith and family always came first; she was a hockey and cheerleading mom. She was an amazing cook who was well known for her pierogi. She was very creative, enjoyed decorating, and was an HGTV fan. She always had a Honey-Do list ready for her husband. She was also a very welcoming hostess; she loved having parties and took pride in every detail.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the Nursing Team at the Journeycare Woodstock Hospice Center for the special care and compassion shown to Sandi.
She is survived by her husband, John; her children, David, Justin, and Ashley; her parents, James and Antoinette; her sister, Patricia (Robert) Zieman; her brother, John David Block; her mother-in-law, Catherine Kavanagh; her grandfather-in-law, Joseph Kryklywec; her sister-in-law, Natalie (Brian) Bozich; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Kavanagh; her grandmother, Marian Paulbecki; and her grandparents, Eugene and Cecelia Block, and joins them now with her best friend, Jesus.
