Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Elvera (Coia) Ciotola; husband of the late Rose (Izzi) Ciotola; father of Anthony J. Ciotola, Samuel L. Ciotola and wife Deborah, and Dr. Robert T. Ciotola and wife Cheryl; grandfather of Samuel and wife Maureen, Julie, Christopher and his wife Michelle, and Elizabeth and her husband Michael; great-grandfather of Arron, Jillian, Brady, Analise and Lucas; and brother of the late Dolorato and Alberino Ciotola.
Anthony had worked as a mechanical supervisor for Narragansett Electric for 45 years before retiring and had been a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Monday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, followed by entombment in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston.
